[Colloquium Munich] Ronald Grigor Suny (Ann Arbor, MI): "Russia's Empires: Understanding the History of Russia and the USSR Through an Imperial Lens"

On July 6, 2016 Prof. Ronald Grigor Suny, Ph.D. (Ann Arbor, MI) will give a lecture in the lunchtime "Colloquium" of the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies in Munich. The lecture is entitled "Russia's Empires: Understanding the History of Russia and the USSR Through an Imperial Lens".

Ronald Grigor Suny is the William H. Sewell Jr. Distinguished University Professor of History at the University of Michigan, Emeritus Professor of Political Science and History at the University of Chicago, and Senior Researcher at the National Research University – Higher School of Economics in Saint Petersburg, Russia. His fields of study are Russian empire and imperialism, historiography and methodology of studying social and cultural history.

All members of the Graduate School and all members of the Universities in Munich and Regensburg are warmly invited to participate.
