[Colloquium Munich] Tomislav Longinović (Madison, WI): "Traumatic Spaces: Migration and Translation Across Europe"

On June 28, 2017 the Colloquium of the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies in Munich welcomes Prof. Dr. Tomislav Longinović (Madison, WI). His lecture is entitled "Traumatic Spaces: Migration and Translation Across Europe".

Tomislav Longinović's main fields of interest are South-Slavic literatures and cultures, Translation Studies and cultural theory. In his monograph "Vampire Nation: Violence as Cultural Imaginary" (2011)he examines the development of political and cultural discourses about "the Serbs" as violent nation. Tomislav Longinović is Professor of Slavic, Comparative Literature and Visual Culture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently Visiting Professor at Harvard University.
