[Workshop Regensburg] Prague-Regensburg Workshop on Distributional Effects of Trade Liberalization: The Role of Institutional Change

11.11.2016 (09:30 - 16:00)

Das Institut für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung (IOS) veranstaltet in Kooperation mit der Universität Regensburg und dem Institute for Economic Studies der Karls-Universität Prag einen Workshop. Der "Prague-Regensburg Workshop on Distributional Effects of Trade Liberalization: The Role of Institutional Change" findet am 11. November in Regensburg statt.

Distributional effects of trade liberalization are typically analyzed in the context of ex ante policy evaluation via combined CGE-microsimulation models. With financial support from Bayhost / DTH and IOS Regensburg, a group of researchers from Prague and Regensburg will, using theory, ex ante and ex post policy evaluation techniques, put the institutional change channel at the heart of investigating the distributional effects of trade liberalization. For that, on 11 November, 2016, the researcher group organizes a one day workshop at IOS Regensburg, placing emphasis on transition countries’ experience. Confirmed participants include Richard Frensch (University of Regensburg and IOS), Roman Horvath (IES / Charles University), and Evžen Kočenda (IES / Charles University).
