Currriculum Vitae

Born in Munich. Studied History, German Studies, Political Sciences and Sociology at LMU. Doctorate in Munich. Worked as a professor in Oxford, Salzburg and Cologne. Since 2010, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the LMU.

  • Principal Investigator of the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies
  • Search Committee for the Richard von Weizsäcker Fellowship at St. Antony's College, Oxford University
  • Member of the Scientific Advisory Board, including the Research Center for Contemporary History Hamburg and the Institute for Contemporary History Munich-Berlin
