Curriculum Vitae

Born in Cologne. After studying Constitutional, Social and Economic History as well as Economics in Bonn, Cologne and Munich, he started his PhD at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Bonn. Habilitation at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, University of Hohenheim. Research and teaching visits in Barcelona, ​​Tokyo and Paris. 2008-2011 head of the research group at the German Historical Institute in Paris. Since 2011 Professor of Economic and Social History at the University of Regensburg.
