Do I have to live in Munich or Regensburg to complete the doctoral programme at the Graduate School of East and Southeast European Studies?

Anyone can apply: international applicants are not only welcome, they are sought-after. If an application is successful and a doctoral programme is begun at the Graduate School of East and Southeast European Studies, it will be necessary to take part in regular events as well as the qualification programme at the Graduate School. In most cases, this means living in either Munich or Regensburg. We regularly work, study and discuss together and each doctoral project profits enormously from this! Munich and Regensburg are also both towns well known for their high quality of life.
