Ekaterina Pravilova (Princeton, NJ)
On Wednesday, 23 January 2018, the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies welcomes Professor Ekaterina Pravilova, Ph.D. (Princeton, NJ) in its lecture series Colloquium in Munich. Pravilova will give a talk on "Political Money. Monetary Reforms and the Problem of Constitution in Imperial Russia".
Ekaterina Pravilova, PhD is a professor of history at Princeton University specializing in 19th century Imperial Russia. She is also interested in economic and legal history. Being a native of St. Petersburg, Professor Pravilova received her Ph.D. from the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1997. She was a research scholar at the Academy of Sciences from 1995 to 2004 and an assistant professor of history at the European University at St. Petersburg from 2002 to 2006. She joined Princeton in the fall of 2006.
