Doctoral Programme

From 2012 to 2019, the Graduate School in Munich and Regensburg offered funded doctoral and postdoctoral positions due to its funding from the DFG as part of the German Excellence Initiative. Since to the expiration of this funding, GS OSESLMU has been undergoing a process of restructuring. In the future, GS OSESLMU will admit doctoral candidates in East and Southeast European Studies at LMU as affiliated researchers.

If you are interested in carrying out doctoral research in this field at LMU, in the first instance please contact a potential supervisor from among the GS's Principal Investigators. The LMU Graduate Center can assist you in identifying potential sources of funding for your research. A call for applications for affiliation with GS OSESLMU for doctoral researchers already at LMU will be published in due course.
